Overview

If you are looking for a bizarre and unexpectedly fun holiday-themed game, Easter Avenger EX delivers just that — an online side-scrolling action platformer for browsers (Flash) where you play as an angry egg out for revenge. Yes, really.

Originally released in 2006 and remade in 2012, this is an enhanced version of the indie cult hit Easter Avenger, developed by Josepho, from the Spanish studio Questtracers. This updated release includes improved visuals, sound effects, music, and gameplay polish — all while preserving the chaotic charm of the original.

The story

Pascual is not your average Easter egg. After witnessing the brutal death of his father at the hands of an evil Easter Bunny — lord of the Easter Country — Pascual embarks on a wild quest for vengeance. What follows is a 13-level rampage through twisted holiday landscapes, filled with cartoon violence, oddball enemies, and over-the-top boss battles.

In Easter Avenger EX, the Easter Bunny is not the hero — he’s the final boss.

Gameplay

Easter Avenger EX combines traditional platforming with twin-stick-style shooting. Move with the keyboard, aim and shoot with the mouse. Along the way, Pascual can unlock “Easter powers” that change his appearance and grant new abilities like flight or wall-jumping. Expect baseball bats, guns, spikes, moving platforms, and lots of egg-on-egg action.

Don’t let the simple graphics fool you — the game has soul. It starts out tough, but once you get used to the controls, it becomes surprisingly addictive and genuinely entertaining.

• Mouse Wheel or Q/E – Switch weapons
