Remake of the classic Atari 2600’s Berzerk, a multi-directional shooter video arcade game, released in 1980 by Stern Electronics of Chicago. It was released for the Atari 2600 console in 1982.
You play a stick-figure, representing a “humanoid”, and have to shoot the robots in the maze to score points.
Shoot the bad robots. Each robot destroyed is worth 50 points. Dont touch the walls and avoid Evil Otto, the smiley face.
Trivia: Berzerk was the first video game known to have been involved in the death of a player: In January 1981, a 19-year-old Jeff Dailey died of a heart attack, soon after posting a score of 16,660 on the game. In October of the following year, Peter Burkowski, 18 years old, made the Berzerk top-ten list, twice, in fifteen minutes… Just a few seconds before dying, also of a heart attack.
