Air Attack FX

Overview

Air Attack FX is a a 1996 vertically scrolling shooter arcade game ported to flash, so we can play online and in our browsers!

The original game was developed and released by the Korean company Comad. Since it’s a faithfull and direct conversion from the arcades, the thrill is exact the same:

The player ship fly through a total of seven stages, fighting, with a semi-automatic normal shot and a bomb stock, many enemies and multiple end-level bosses. If the player’s airship takes one shot, it’s destroyed.

There is a total of four different weapon pick-up items, that are represented by numbers in-game:

• [1]: standard Vulcan weapon
• [2]: Rapid-Fire shot
• [3]: area-effect weapon that fires in five directions, two behind the ship
• [4]: Rocket weapon

Collecting four of the same pick-up allows the selected weapon to flare-out. The last powerup you take define your current weapon. So if you prefer to use one, try to avoid the other.

There is also 2 bonus items :

• [P]: Gives a lot of special attack and boost your weapon power
• [B]: Gives an extra special attack

   I remember playing this game in the arcades back then, but it wasnt too common. Im glad someone converted it so we can play it again!
