Overview
F1 XX is a free online racing game for browsers (Flash) where the objective is to collect all the flags to overcome all levels of this retro-styled remake of Rally-X, a great 80’s arcade game.
For those who don’t know, Rally-X is a Namco‘s game released in 1980 that drew attention at the time for its colorful graphics, use of a real-time map, and music during gameplay — something that was still rare at the time. In the original, you control a racing car in a maze full of forks, collecting flags while escaping from enemy cars and using smoke to throw them off the scent. Despite its increasing difficulty, the title became one of the pillars of the maze chase genre and even had a sequel called New Rally-X. It is also included in several Namco compilations.
