Overview

NAM-1975 is a Cabal-style rail shooter with a third-person perspective, developed and published by SNK initially in 1990 to the arcades. Set during the Vietnam War, players take on the role of an American soldier tasked with rescuing a kidnapped scientist and his daughter, while facing hordes of enemies in various settings.

The character moves automatically along a predetermined path, while the player controls the aim to shoot enemies appearing on the screen. Known for its detailed graphics for the time, an art style reminiscent of classic war films, and its highly challenging and intense gameplay, NAM-1975 has players battling waves of enemy soldiers, helicopters, and tanks, while dodging projectiles and explosions and collecting power-ups.

In addition to arcades, this shooter was also released for Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, Virtual Console, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows, iPhone, Android, and iPad. What we have here is the original arcade version set to be played online, in your browser (HTML5), without the need of installation and stuff.
