Renegade is a classic side-scrolling beat ’em up developed by Technos and originally released to the arcades in 1986 where you’ll control a street brawler against four different gangs, as he fights to rescue his girlfriend from the hands of a mob boss.
A largely seminal game, Renegade layered the grounds for the several upcoming titles of the genre, such as Double Dragon, setting much of the standards and elements that characterized it since then.
