Overview
Solitaire Chess is an online and addictive puzzler for browsers (HTML5) vaguely based on chess that won’t require you to be a grandmaster to play it.
The rules quite are simple – move your pieces the same way as in chess, performing an obligatory capture every turn.
The objective is to capture all pieces on the board leaving just a sole one standing. Knowing chess rules is not required – the game has a built-in tutorial and a cheat-sheet for moves.
Solitaire Chess also features more than a hundred puzzles, a way to gradually learn the intricate chess way of thinking, smooth and addictive gameplay and very easy to learn difficulty curve that gets challenging towards the end.
Controls and instructions
- Take and move any piece with a mouse (or finger on mobile).
- All the pieces follow their respective chess moving patterns.
- Capture all the pieces on the board leaving only one (any will do).
- Get a tip if you get stuck.
